Welcome to the home of Radshot

Radshot is a program designed to effortless capture, upload, and share images of your desktop online. The intention is for those who often like to share images with people over instant messaging, voice, in-game, and even through email or to post on your own website.

How it works

You press a button (Print Screen by default), your screen is captured as an image file and is automatically compressed to a web-appropriate file size (Typically under 400kb). Options are available to auto resize the image and provide sound alerts when the upload is complete, or failed, and if successful it provides a link to your clipboard automatically (Copy/Paste).

Step 1 - Register and Login: If you have not yet, you will need to register an account. This process is very simple and does not require email authentication. After your account is created, proceed to login.

Step 2 - Download: After logging in succesfully, you will be able to click the Download button above. Proceed to the download page, and select the current version at the top.

Step 3 - Preparation: This software requires that you have the following installed:

 • Visual C++ 2010 Redist. (x86)
 • Visual C++ 2010 Redist. (x64) (64-bit Windows ONLY)
   64-bit Windows requires both x86 and x64 packages

Step 4 - Install: Radshot does not have a proper installation utility at this time. For now, place radshot.exe in a new folder with write permissions. Files will be created upon first launch and images may be stored there temporarily (or permanently if you edit the settings). Placing radshot.exe on the desktop is not advisable.

Step 5 - Setup: Once you run radshot.exe from the appropriate folder, you should be guided through the setup process which takes just a few clicks. If not, right-click the Radshot tray icon (near the clock) and go to options. Put in your username and password, and click Encrypt Password. Now save changes, and you should be able to take a screenshot with Print Screen. Good luck!

Step 6 (Optional) - Start with Windows: If you'd like Radshot to start with windows, you can create a shortcut to radshot.exe and place it in "Start Menu > All Programs > Startup". For the same effect, place it directly into this folder:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Windows XP
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
